In a quiet country setting, nestled at the foot of protected Provencal hills, the house offers incredible views in all directions and an elaborate 4 acre landscaped park with fountains, trellis-covered walkways, and a variety of mature fruit trees. There are a number of hiking trails accessible from the house that connect to an organized network of trails for running, hiking or walking through the Provence countryside.

Located 3 miles from the quaint stone village of Rognes with its butchers, bakers, a florist, vegetable shop, doctor, small grocery stores, a health food store, pharmacy, pizzaria, café, wineries and restaurants. Look for a market on the main street once per week, with festivals and events once per month during the tourist season.

Rognes is a lovely bedroom community 20 minute north of Aix-en-Provence. Located half way between the sophisticated Roman city of Aix and the entry to the Luberon Mountain region, Rognes has a real country feel with rolling hills, a stone village, different flowers and fields for every season. The landscape is sumptuous with the vineyards of the 10 surrounding wineries.

Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Aix-en-Provence TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Aix-en-Provence TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions

Arrival: Saturday

Minimum Stay: 1 week

Includes: Final cleaning and any additional maid service as described above.

Confirming your reservation: We will send a rental agreement by fax, email or regular mail. The rental agreement will specify the rental price, the amount of security deposit and the maximum number of overnight occupants.

Initial payment: The signed rental agreement and payment of the 50% deposit using a check or bank wire transfer(preferred) must be received within 7 seven days to confirm the reservation. The second 50% is due 60 days before arrival - we will email you a reminder 75 days before your arrival.

Payment acknowledgment: Immediately upon receipt of your initial or final payment we will mail you an Acknowledgement of Payment. The Acknowledgement will note the remaining balance, if any, and when the payment is due.

Final payment The second half of the rent and any security deposit are due in our offices 60 days before the first day of your rental. We must strictly adhere to this procedure, and failure to comply could result in cancellation of the booking. Don't worry about forgetting -- we'll remind you if your payment is not received on time.

Cancellation Cancellation of a confirmed reservation is a painful event for both owner and renter. The renter cancels because of some unexpected hardship; meanwhile the owner may have turned away rental opportunities and thus lost revenue. We have a no refund cancellation policy, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations to the Spring or Fall or booking the cancelled period to another group and refunding the party that cancelled. Failure to pay the final balance which is due 60 days before arrival may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Security deposits are fully refundable. Clients are strongly urged to take out Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation. We can send a Travel Insurance quote to US or Canadian residents for all or part of the cost of your trip. We would need the name, birth date, airline carrier, dates of travel and amount of money to be covered for each guest who would like to be insured. Please inquire for a quote.

Security Deposit: The security deposit is taken as a signed promise that we can charge your credit card for any unpaid damage or expenses incurred during your stay. It is very rare that we ever charge a card - we inform our guests before doing so. Reasonable wear and tear is not charged for, but the cost of missing or damaged items will be deducted from the deposit.

Extra Charges The rent includes taxes, standard utilities and maid service as noted above. Additional maid or other services can be arranged and are charged for separately. In cold months November through April there is an additonal 100 euro per week charge for heating cost.
